This for me is one of the most poignant articles I have seen here. I for one believe that man's fingerprints are on every environmental disaster we are experiencing. More people, more fingerprints. At the same time, I have been writing nature and environmental stories for years and always try to insert some glimmer of hope, even when I don't feel one myself. Hope will keep a person moving forward, even if only slowly. Destroy that hope and they will wallow in the land of 'oh what difference will it make?'
