This well-written article is depressing from so many different angles. Perhaps the most frightening is how politicians (not just in the UK) seem to have abandoned their responsibility to tell the truth. When they want to do something, they simply alter the facts to fit their cause (usually money). Just as bad is the fact that these lies are not being called out enough by the mainstream press.
